“The Speech” is a three-scene English language performance, in which the clown Professor Doktor literally goes through all the ordeals any public speaker can possibly live through in his passionate attempt to deliver his speech about the hidden treasure of failures. With the help of singing clown Dolly and the dancing gang o’clowns, he manages to not only deliver his speech, but to find the treasure of his own failures right in front of his eyes. The performance is an hommage to the beauty of human imperfection, instructing to approach mistakes as a chance to look at the world and oneself anew.

The Academy of Advanced laughter is a Brussels-based theatre clown troupe. All performers are business professionals, who strive to alter the corporate environment towards a more human place of exploration, courage and growth by means of performing arts.
