The Heist

Written and directed by Lee Delong | With Ralf Wetzel | Music by Max Charue | Masks by Ralf Wetzel | Song "Drowning" by Lee Delong

Steve is a talented chef and the owner of a popular bistro, enjoying a thriving business and a comfortable life. However, a global pandemic shakes his world to its core, throwing him into a vortex of uncertainty and financial instability. As Steve's bistro struggles to stay afloat, he finds himself forced to consider desperate measures, contemplating a life of crime. The weight of his situation threatens to crush his spirit, and Steve teeters on the brink of succumbing to the hopelessness of the human struggle.

In a stunning turn of events, fate intervenes and sets Steve on a path back to what he truly loves. Through the gripping and purely physical tale of "THE HEIST," we are drawn into a world of emotional complexity, where a solo actor dons four distinct masks to wordlessly explore the depths of contemporary capitalism and the despair it can create. The stage becomes an emotional playground, where physical comedy, live music, and movement intertwine to tell a story of the human condition that is surprisingly tender and charming.

Director Lee Delong brings Steve's journey to life with a deft touch, infusing the production with a musical soundscape which transforms the stage into a vivid and immersive world, and will engage your senses and touch your heart without a single spoken word.
